What is the first step?
Congratulations! You've taken the first step towards your goal of starting a business. Now it's time to book an exploratory session. This session will give us a chance to learn about your goals and the type of business you are going to be setting up. After the exploratory session, we will send an invoice to the email listed. Payment is due upon invoice receipt and before any documents are submitted to the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations.
What is the turn around time?
As soon as we receive your request and payment has been submitted, we begin working on your filings right away. From the time that we receive your request and we submit forms and paperwork to the state, the approximate turnaround time is between 5-10 days. Usually the turnaround time is quicker, however the state of Florida processes formation documents in the order in which they are received.
After I file with the state is my business official?
Once your articles of organization have been accepted by the state secretaries office and you have an operating agreement, your business is official. You are still required to obtain any required business licenses and permits from your local government, sometimes called a Business tax Receipt or B.T.R. Each municipality has different requirements, so check with your city/county licensing department.
When do I submit payment?
Payment is due upfront. Once we receive your request, payment, and you have completed a formation questionnaire, we can submit the required documents to the Florida State Division of Corporations. The state has required fees that must be paid prior to filing of an LLC.
